Board of Governors

The ASW Board of Governors oversees the Foundation as a whole to ensure that legal, ethical and fiduciary standards are met.

Charlie Groezinger

President

Charlie Groezinger has held various electrical and software engineering positions. Most notably he was previously the President at Phoenix Process Systems, the Product Development Manager at Scientific Columbus, and the Director of Software Development at Fitch. Additionally, Charlie founded SGO Designer Glass of Columbus in 2007 and was the owner until 2023, when he retired. Charlie is a graduate of The Ohio State University and was in the United Sates Army from 1970-1973 before getting an Honorable Discharge.

Charlie first joined A Special Wish Foundation as a volunteer in 2001. He volunteered in several areas including SWATs, delivering wishes, and representing ASW at various fundraisers. Charlie have been a member of the Board of Governors since 2007 and has been the Board of Governors president since 2013.

Charlie resides in Upper Arlington, Ohio with his spouse Colleen, where he is a very active community member, being the past president of the Upper Arlington Historical Society, Economic Development Chair of the Upper Arlington Chamber of Commerce, alongside holding other community supporting positions and honors. Charlie has one son, Chuck. Chuck and his wife, Jennifer, have two sons. In his free time, Charlie enjoys golfing and scuba diving.

Robert R. Lech

Vice President

Rob Lech is a distinguished professional with a multifaceted background bridging Management Information Systems (MIS) and Intellectual Property Law (Lech Law, LLC). Holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Michigan and a Juris Doctor degree from Michigan State University, he brings a wealth of knowledge and strategic insight to the Foundation’s boardroom.

Rob has served on ASW's Board of Governors since 2008.

 

Rob resides in Dublin, Ohio with his wife, Christine. Rob's hobbies include snow skiing, music composition and performance, and spending time with his family including 2 children, Alex and Carly.

John Little

Secretary

John Little has been a teacher at Teays Valley High School for 32 years, alongside working with the Ohio Industrial Commission. John is a 1981 graduate of The Ohio State University. In addition to his work with ASW, John is involved with the Lancaster-Fairfield County Charity Newsies.  

 

John first became involved with ASW in 2000 as a volunteer, then as the Lancaster Chapter President for 15 years, and he now serves on the Board of Governers.  

 

John resides in Lancaster, Ohio with his wife, Susan. He enjoys spending time with his 7 grandchildren, fishing, working out, and cheering for The Ohio State Buckeyes. John states that he is “just so blessed to be a part of this organization”.  

Jason Beudert

Treasurer

Jason Beudert is an established Clevland area Entrepeneur and business owner. Jason owns a restaurant, as well as a recruiting firm. He is also a FBI citizen Academy Board Member.  

 

Jason co-founded the ASW Northeast Ohio Chapter and became a member of the Board of Governers in 2017. 

 

Jason and his wife, Elieen, live in Brecksville, Ohio with their son, Gus, and twin daughters, Judy and Marie. Jason enjoys spending time with his family, trying different food, traveling, wrestling, and going to concerts.

Kelly Calland

Member

Kelly Calland has worked at Columbus Auto Resale Inc. For over 34 years. Kelly is a Columbus native and 1984 graduate of Upper Arlington High School.  

Kelly met our founder, Ramona, through a mutual friend years ago and instantly became involved with ASW. Kelly started our Annual Fundraising Car Show 15 years ago.

Kelly lives in Hilliard, Ohio with his wife, Liz, who is the ASW Central Ohio Chapter Board of Directors Vice President. They have 4 kids, 1 grandson, and 2 English Bulldogs. Kelly says he is “honored to be a Board Member for such a fantastic mission”.
